He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering (First Class) from the University of Malawi and a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics from Michigan State University, USA. This strong academic foundation has equipped him with advanced technical expertise and a global perspective on technology-driven solutions. Hope’s design philosophy emphasizes sustainability and innovation, particularly through the use of locally available resources in the development of drone technology. His vast experience spans flight operations, project management, and drone applications both in Malawi and across Southern Africa, ensuring reliable and impactful service delivery. Yamikani holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from the Malawi Univesity of Applied Science. He has expertise in documenting training & updating flight books, Drone Piloting, flight Planning, managing a flight crew and ensuring safety, Performing preflight and postflight inspections, handling inflight communication and navigation. Yamikani has executed many commercial drone operations on some of the largest projects in Malawi. Known for his experience and safety record Yamikani has become Nkhwazi Aeros`s premier visual inspection specialist and drone pilot.

Sally Mwayi Changaya is a highly skilled Biomedical Engineer with a degree from the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS). Sally’s career is marked by a series of notable achievements and international engagements. In 2019, she was selected to represent Malawi at the First Global Robotics Challenge in Dubai, UAE—an opportunity that showcased her technical talent and collaborative spirit on a global platform. The same year, she also attended a UNDP workshop on waste management, gaining valuable insights into sustainability and environmental stewardship. Her passion for drone technology took shape in 2020, when she joined Nkhwazi Aeros. There, she received extensive training in drone piloting, flight planning, pre- and post-flight inspections, inflight communication, and drone maintenance. This experience solidified her ability to merge technical knowledge with practical application in aerial systems. In 2021, she further expanded her expertise by participating in a Black Women in Engineering workshop on Sustainable Agriculture, deepening her commitment to using technology for food security and environmental resilience.
